Last night, Carrie Cloud and Annabel Vartanian celebrated their birthdays together at the newly opened Nolita joint, Delicatessen. It was quite the successful turnout, because drinking champagne downtown is obviously more fun than watching the debates! Chance Yeh was there to capture the fun along with guests like Coleman Chamberlain, Kristian Laliberte, Nishan Vartanian, Jennifer Creel, Lara Meiland Shaw, Jen Cohen, Nick Dietz, Susan Shin, Trey Knight, David Chines, and Timo Weiland (in an adorable yellow Timo! tie).

Wow it’s been almost a week! Did you miss us?! So here’s our night:
We started our night at the T-Mobile Sidekick party at Bathhouse Studio. Our host Jackson Jeyanayagam (from Waggener Edstrom) told us to get there early because he has some surprises in store. Did he ever! The party was a total interactive, visual experience. We couldn’t even focus there was so much going on! There were bars everywhere and not just alcohol, there was also an ice cream shake bar, a peanut butter bar and an icee bar where you could pick your favorite flavor.

“What, had every bank in North America failed?” Scott
“No, I meant cash in my purse silly!” Lydia
And so went our night last night. It seems to us that New York is all about money, making it, having it and keeping it. We certainly saw our share spread around last night.
We began our night at the opening of Delicatessen sponsored by Interview Magazine featuring a Polaroid photo exhibit by Terry Richardson. We were invited by our good friend Susan Kilkenny, who just started at Interview, but couldn”t find her through the crowd.

Delicatessen has arrived! And throngs of hipsters welcomed it in last night. Including our favorite frenemy DBTH.
I was personally pleased to see Scott try his hand at normalcy for a change, actually appearing at the new hot spot to give us the details, while we were in Montauk chowing down on Sam Talbot”s burgers. What”s next? Does this mean he”ll take me up on my invite to come on Plum TV? He”s definitely got the Juice covered. At least 5 blocks of it.

This week, food bloggers are going bananas over the newest late night spot, Delicatessen, set to open in Nolita (at Prince and Lafayette) this Friday. I am excited that my neighborhood will have another late night option to add to the relatively weak mix. Especially since it’s from the owners of Cafeteria…which means at the very least I can count on some good mac and cheese. (In the fall, chef Doron Wong will dispense a dozen varieties of mac and cheese from the adjacent Macbar for takeout and delivery).
