The (temporarily homeless) Jane Hotel threw a costume party with Smile at The NoMad Hotel on 28th street. Kirsten Dunst, Charlotte Ronson, Lazaro Hernandez, Carol Han, and Derek Blasberg all attended. What the celebrities lacked in costume creativity (Kiki as….Ellie Mae Clampett or something? And Charlotte was a cat.), the guests made up for with varying degrees of funny, skimpy, and scary costumes. The film, capturing Michael Jackson’s last days of rehearsals in London brought in quite the star-studded crowd of MJ fans.

It seems that Derek Blasberg tamed his French partying ways at least for a night for The Fountain House Fall Fete at The Racquet and Tennis Club at The Plaza last night.  The soiree sponsored by David Yurman and designer Michelle Smith’s line Milly celebrated The Fountain House’s services for individuals recovering from mental illnesses. One can assume that people arrived at this party as fairly normal, well-behaved people, full of crepes or boeuf bourguignon or whatever they’re eating in France nowadays. They probably danced a little, and smoked their cigarettes inside as the French are wont to do. And then, in the photo at left, The Misshapes Leigh Lezark apparently decided to forgo shots (too ineffective) and squeeze a lime directly into an entire bottle of tequila. This, effectively, was the beginning of a VERY long night in Paris. As you look through the pictures, pay special attention to the girl on the right.
