Friday night, Yoni Goldberg of dGi Management got a head start on the Halloween fun by throwing a human fuel-filled costume bash at the Red Bull Loft Space in SoHo. The Angel Orensanz Foundation was flooded with the A-list last night, as music, fashion, and art industry insiders came out to Embrace the Blue.  Celebrity DJs like Christian Sirano, Olivia Palermo, Byrdie Bell, and Amanda Shine joined DJ Berrie to keep the energy pumping as music and adrenaline mixed with beverages provided by VeeV, Fiji Water, Champagne Pommery, Little Jonathan Winery, and Palm Beer, dancing, and a silent auction to help raise proceeds for The Doe Fund and its efforts to end homelessness in New York City.

Spinning at some of the hottest spots around the globe, DJ Berrie has already been hailed as “the sound of Tenjune” by nightlife guru Eugene Remm, and dubbed “one of America’s premier party-rockers” by Vanity Fair, all at the tender age of 22.  He honed his skills early on by spinning at high school parties, and later on by listening to recorded sets from DJ AM and Jazzy Jeff.  Although his father amassed a fortune from marketing the 80s Troll doll, DJ Berrie has become a success in his own right.  His sound, best described as a mix between house, hip-hop, soul, rock and funk, blares at many exclusive events for high-end clients like Veuve Clicquot and GQ where you’ll find him amping up the crowd from his turntables sans headphones.  In a recent interview with us, DJ Berrie grants us a closer peek at what he’s been up to… More»

On Thursday night, Young Friends of the ASPCA hosted the benefit aptly named The Shaggy Dog. It was held at the IAC Building with music by DJ Berrie and honorary chairman Katie Lee-Joel. The event went literally to the dogs, as the four-legged friends caused quite a frenzy, forcing most human guests to deviate from their usual standing poses to kneeling.
