The New York Public Library on Fifth Avenue has always been one of the best event spaces in New York (think Paper Mag party, Carrie Bradshaw’s would-be wedding venue), and last night was no exception: Leighton Meester, Billy Crudup, Si Newhouse, Nora Ephron, Oscar De La Renta, Rachel Roy, John Lithgow, Henry Kissinger and DJ Cassidy joined the well-heeled (and well-read?) New York social crowd for the Young Lions Benefit Party, “A Bright Future“. More»

Friday night, Yoni Goldberg of dGi Management got a head start on the Halloween fun by throwing a human fuel-filled costume bash at the Red Bull Loft Space in SoHo. Guests, included Mischa Barton, Brandon DavisDJ Cassidy, DJ Berrie, and a surprise performance by the highest grossing female rap group/duo of all time, the sensational Salt ‘n’ Pepa.  (We’re serious, of all time — we looked it up.) Tommy Hilfiger recently added another address to his long list of retail locations opening his largest global flagship store taking it back to where it all began when he launched the brand in New York City over 20 years ago. 681 Fifth Avenue is now home to Tommy and his denim blues with the opening of the high-end location where the designer joined his friends and family Thursday night for the momentous occasion. Obviously setting up shop on Fifth Avenue deserves a celebration… More»

Danielle Staub[All photos by THOMAS CANTLEY for PMc]. We don’t pretend to be experts about what constitutes a “most stylish” individual, but we’re pretty sure a coke peddling, cyber-sex loving star of the Real Housewives of NJ isn’t a great representation. But that’s just us. Aaaanyway, Us Weekly gathered their selections to accept the title last night at Avenue, among them some true depictions of the honor. So who made the list? Click for the rollcall below..some of the answers may surprise you… More»

If you think Fashion Week is creating a madhouse in New York City, than it was only a precursor to what the Big Apple would see once the VMA’s hit up the town last night. The MTV awards ceremony is always known for it’s over-the-top performances but when you have Lady Gaga covered in blood (and lace), Pink swinging from the rafters (literally), Jay-Z and Alicia Keys collaborating, and a Michael Jackson tribute that’ll be one for the history books, there’s a need for all the celebs to hit the town afterwards (and hit the town they certainly did). Tory Burch[All photos by JACKIE SNOW for PMc]. Last night, Fashion’s Night Out exploded onto the streets of NYC. One of the evening’s must-stop destinations was the Tory Burch store, where the designer greeted shoppers including Russell Simmons, who browsed the racks while bouncing around to the turntable mastery of DJ Cassidy. The place was packed, but that didn’t keep anyone from enjoying the guilt free (save the local economy!) shopping, grill snacks such as corn on the cob and beverages. Shopping can work up the appetite, after all. More»

via hamptons.guestofaguest.com: Michael Jackson was a source of inspiration for thousands of musicians and DJ’s in the business. Recently, one of our favorite DJ’s, DJ Cassidy, launched a new shoe: the Bridgeport boat shoe for Rockport, drawing on inspiration from his two biggest influences, Run DMC and Michael Jackson.

Cassidy considers the greatest outfit of all time to be Michael Jackson’s look in the “Billie Jean” video: Black leather suit, red bow tie, pink shirt, pink socks… Not exactly an obvious translation into a pair of boat shoes, but it works. With soft pink perforated leather, red canvas upper, and black pinstripe, the shoe is signature Cassidy with a twist. Good luck getting your hands on these shoes, which made their debut at Blue and Cream, East Hampton this past weekend, there’s only FIFTY pairs! MORE>>>
