The Gates was full of some New York’s finest party people last night for trendsetter Kim Bates‘ private birthday bash.    The event, entitled “White Haute Mess” featured beats by DJ Mess Kid and required “white haute” attire from guests in keeping with the theme.  Among the invites were Stephanie Wei, Danny Shea, Kyle Hotchkiss-Carone, Nick Deitz, Kashmir Snowdon-Jones, guestofaguest’s own insider socialites Scott Buccheit and Naeem Delbridge, Robert Fowler, designer Keith Lissner, Teddy Van Bueren and Roberto Monticello; all of whom came out to celebrate the birthday of one of New York’s most fabulous fashion adepts. Teddy Van Beuren of DoGoodFeelGood was kind enough to offer up two free tickets to their spring event Cribs for Kids this Thursday night starting at 7pm @ The Gates.  The event aims to provide a safe sleeping environment for children in the New York area.  A great way to do good, and have a great time doing it (remember their Christmas party!?). DJ Mess Kid will be ripping up the turn tables. The Winter Music Conference in Miami has been going on all week, and, for the grand finale, the Dual Groupe’s “Day & Night” brunch will be taking over Miami’s VITA.  Derek and Daniel Koch have taken some of our favorite NYC Dj’s with them including DJ Serebe Kironde, DJ Mess Kid and DJ Nick Cohen to show the folks in Miami how Saturday Brunches are done.

“The rosé is on ice and the champagne will be flowing all afternoon to your favorite house music.” Is this the first in Day & Night’s plan to scale their popular party brunches that have taken over the likes of Merkato 55?

To say Celeste Greenberg’s Tuleste Market Collection has taken off is an understatement. The jewelry line is a constant source of social musings. Besides their parties thrown, I have consistently ran into fans of the line out and about.  This Wednesday night, Mr. West glammed things up and played host to a cocktail party in celebration of Tuleste’s newest collection as well as the launch of their new website.  The beautiful Sea City Dancers were wearing nothing BUT the pieces, of which were draped across their chests. And, as if this crowd needed help looking any hotter, David X Prutting was there, one of our city’s most talented photographers, to capture all of their hottest angles on film.

This Saturday, L’ybane, the sleek French UES restaurant/loung (with a sister restaurant on the French Riviera), hosted la Fête a L’ybane.  Popular DJ Messkid provided the music after dinner, which was French, Italian, and Greek Cuisine all served in small portions.  Our resident nightlife photog, J.T. White checked out the party, which included lots of sparklers.

[DJ Mess Kid runs the party at Southside, Kashmir Snowdon-Jones approves]

There’s a new DJ in town showing up over and over again on our radar.  It’s DJ Mess Kid (aka Artem Emelianov) and he’s accumulated quite a following, spinning at places like Southside, 1oak, Beatrice Inn (he was in Rory Guiness’ video), and Submercer. He is has socialites like Kashmir Snowdon-Jones, Alexandra Richard and Jules Kirby as fans, just to name a few, and, with his boyish good looks, is quite popular with all the ladies.  Check out his myspace for his next moves. He certaintly is putting the pressure on DJ Nick Cohen.  Question: Who’s the better DJ?? Mess Kid or Nick Cohen?
