Don't get me wrong; World Pie, in downtown Bridgehampton, has very, very good pizza. The crust is thin and lightly chewy, the cheese a high quality mozzarella, the toppings fresh, fairly original, and reasonably generous. We ordered the "Farmstand," which featured summer squash, zucchini, eggplant, and cheese, and, while I would have loved a higher ratio of vegetables to cheese, the whole thing was gone in 5 minutes.

Still, $23 for a meatless, average-sized pie? I'm not exactly a pizza connoisseur, but this seems a bit high. Add to that the fact that our table remained breadless despite several requests and yearning glances, only to arrive, with flourish, two minutes after our meal, and I can't help but mark it down.
