When Chace Crawford has a good night, looks-wise, it’s sort of unfair to humanity. And last night at the premiere of Penn Badgley’s new movie, The Stepfather, Chace was having a very, VERY good night. Like, possibly the best he’s ever looked. Also in attendance were Ed Westwick, Taylor Momsen, Matthew Settle, Connor Paolo, and Jessica Szohr (also looking even prettier than usual. Which, again, is not fair, because if anyone deserves to have a night where they look prettier than usual it shouldn’t be a cast member of Gossip Girl.) Suspiciously missing? It’s nice to see that, unlike Chuck, Ed Westwick appreciates “culture” as a word encompassing much more than bespoke tailoring. The British Gossip Girl actor turned out for the opening night of Hamlet on Broadway last night, as did Barbara Walters and David Hyde Pierce. The latest incantation of Shakespeare’s classic definitely appeals to the younger audience, as Jude Law plays the grieving, vengeful lead. While very much a tragedy, there’s nothing sad about getting to watch Jude live for a few hours. More»

You know what, it can get kind of discouraging, living in New York City and being surrounded by Gossip Girl. You expect the stylish young stars to look perfect on television, but it’s irritating to see them in between takes in SoHo or at events ALWAYS LOOKING PERFECT. You’ll never catch Leighton Meester not looking cool and collected, or Ed Westwick not looking smouldering. What the heck is WRONG with these people? [Hilary Duff, Penn Badgley]. You might have noticed that we have a Gossip Girl of our own, telling us when Constance Billard’s best are on the streets. Well they’re back at it, filming the next installment following some Gramercy happenings. Hilary Duff is on set again, telling us that she’s more than making a quick appearance on this season. It’s time to place bets: Dan’s love interest? Just friends (when does that ever happen)? A non-romantic character, like a new girl? Transfers are always a mysterious plot twist. Well we’re curious to see, and fortunately the wait is not too long.
