Ok, it looks like someone put another quarter into the joke machine. First it was the secret roll of toilet paper heralding the opening of el bano, New York’s newest and most exclusive nightclub. And now, we just got word via the tip box that a new spot named el-evator is set to compete with el bano for the dubious distinction of New York’s “most exclusive” club. Both places seem virtually impenetrable, with el bano requiring a key and el-evator requring the solving of a complex algebra equation in order to gain admittance.

But it could get ugly fast. The management at el bano is already crying afoul:

I’m not accusing you or your friends here, but there has been some backlash against us because we are the most exclusive club in New York and there are a lot of haters. We’ve worked too hard to open an amazing club to deal with bullshit like this. El Evator? You’ve got to be kidding me.

We were a little dubious when we got an email from someone we didn’t know, inviting us to a club we have never heard of, located somewhere we don’t know. But that’s exactly what happened last week when we received an email offering us a key to the new super secret El Bano.

We thought, why not, and sent along our address. Well, we sent our office address, you never know right? Anyway, we stopped by the office today and in front of our door was a little package. Inside was a roll of toilet paper with a tiny note that simply says”enjoy!” after removing the toilet paper we found our key.
