Jay McInerney and and Euan Rellie threw a party at the Bespoke Lounge, in celebration of Assoline’s new book, “Vintage Cocktails“, which explores “the lost art of mixing the perfect drink”. Except, it isn’t really a lost art at all, because as countless magazines, newspapers, and blogs have pointed out, Vintage Cocktails are totally en vogue again, and being served up all over the city. But anyway. Candace Bushnell, Helen Schifter, and a host of other ever-on-trend New Yorkers showed up to celebrate and try out some of the Don Draper-esque drinks. More»

Guests and fans including Sienna Miller and Euan Rellie congratulated the label’s designers, Marcus Wainwright and David Nevill, on hand for the event. Already a staple in NYC’s department stores, the West Village and some uniforms at a few Jason Pomeranc hotels, the new location is a welcome addition the shopping stops where we search out our city threads. The show’s stars, Bryan Batt, Rich Sommer, Vincent Kartheiser, and Michael Gladis Brooks Brothers were in New York yesterday to celebrate ‘ limited edition “Mad Men Suits“, designed by the show’s (completely genius) designer, Janie Bryant. The dapper actors modeled the suits and mingled with guests, while enjoying cocktails (Old Fashioneds?) and listening to (ratpack?) music spun by DJ Paul Sevigny. The one problem? They’re only making 250 of these suits. That doesn’t make enough Don Drapers for our taste…. More»

Fans of fashion celebrated their independence early this year at Samantha Thavasa , where Q Magazine and Tinsley Mortimer hosted a cocktail party in celebration of the holiday. Congregating amidst the Mortimer-designed purses were David Patrick Columbia, Susan Shin, Kristian Laliberte, Luigi Tadini, and Euan Rellie.
