The annual event, now in its ninth year, recognizes honorees assisting efforts to end breast cancer and domestic violence.

Kelly Osbourne, however, made friends with construction workers in London, and James Taylor, Jennifer Hudson, and The Black Eyed Peas headed out to Chicago to help Oprah kick off her 24th season. While Britney was out spending money on witch hats, celebrities elsewhere were trying to make the most of the last few weeks of Summer.  Ashanti was unveiling her new Billboard in Times Sqaure, Heather Graham was at the Barcelona premiere of “The Hangover”, Kelly Rutherford was on the set of “Gossip Girl” in NYC and Zac Effron and friends were attending the Teen Choice Awards.

    Last night, Fergie joined the Black Eyed Peas to serenade some very special honorees at Cipriani 42nd Street at what is considered one of the beauty industry’s top social events of the year: the March of Dimes Beauty Ball. The honorees this year included the president of Conde Nast Media Group Richard D. Beckman and beauty magnate himself, William P. Lauder, CEO of The Estee Lauder Companies Inc. Also in attendance was Evelyn Lauder representing the beauty  and fragrance brand. And with Vanessa Williams on hand as well, this is one Ball that certainly wasn’t lacking in the beauty department.
