I know the feeling--all you want is just one red velvet cupcake from Georgetown Cupcake and no other shop's red velvet cupcake will cut it.

But, there's that line. They've had that line since day 1. I know because their first shop was two doors down from my dad's office and they opened while I was interning there--I could not try one cupcake until it had been open for a month (on a rainy day with a short line).

Yeah, it was pretty rainy...so rainy, that no one wanted to get their bottoms wet on those pedi-cab seats!

Fewer people than expected turned out for the 100+ parties that dotted M Street and Wisconsin Avenues for Fashion's Night Out on Friday, September 8, but some braved the rain for a chance at steep shopping discounts, free cocktails and bites, gift bags and giveaways.
