Everyone loves a red carpet event. The opportunity to watch gorgeous people wear gorgeous things is intoxicating. But no red carpet is more important to true fashionphiles than the annual Met Ball in New York City. In support of the museum's famed costume department and rotating fashion exhibit, the gala is an opportunity for designers to stand in the spotlight alongside there "invited" starlets wearing their creations.
