The Official Selection of the 2009 Toronto Film Festival, Venice Film Festival, and 2010 Sundance Film Festival, I AM LOVE premiered in New York City last night. Luca Guadagnino's Italian film follows the fall of the haute bourgeoisie in Milan and stars Tilda Swinton as Emma Recchi. For those of us whose adolescence involved fruitless hours trying to figure out what the heck Rory and Lorelai were talking about on Gilmore Girls, Alexis Bledel was spotted at the premiere at SVA Theater.

Photos via Getty] Last night, Cinema 2 lavishly hosted the notorious New York premier of the highly anticipated film, The Answer Man, from first-time writer-director John Hindman, a romantic comedy starring Jeff Daniels (The Squid and the Whale) and Lauren Graham (Gilmore Girls) exploring the notions of love and the search for meaning (not cliche AT all). Arlen Faber (Daniels) is the reclusive and misanthropic author of "Me and God," a book that has redefined spirituality for an entire generation and has been translated into over 100 languages. More»

An estimated 500 people, including Matt Dillon, Lauren Graham, and Jill Hennessey streamed into the Bowery Hotel last night for samples of Bobby Flay and Rocco DiSpirito's cuisine at Chef's For Scher. Steven Scher was an important figure in the New York restaurant scene, a co-founder of Main Street Restaurant Partners, the group behind Barbao, and Calle Ocho (both of which had booths at the Bowery last night.)
