You could get pregnant two months from now, have the baby, and then it would be Coachella 2013. Just to put it in perspective, that's how much your life could change between now and then. But I guess being one of those Coachella baby people next year is just not a concern to those who purchased tickets yesterday when the presale began and sold out in a matter of hours. The craziest part is, I'm not even a little bit surprised. More»
Well, I guess we shouldn't be surprised by this, given Goldenvoice's clear intent to make Coachella 2013 a topic of discussion every week between now and next April, but I guess this is still a big deal: it appears that we already have the lineup for next year's Coachella. Sure, I can see how you might be skeptical, given that it comes to us via noted less-than-serious website Funny or Die, but take a moment to read it over after the jump. If you've ever been to Coachella (or even just heard your friends' endless Coachella stories), I think you'll agree it's just too accurate to be a forgery. More»

Despite the fact that a good many out there are still paying off the costs to both their bank account and brain cell count of attending Coachella this year, we learned Monday that Goldenvoice very simply does not care. It hasn't even been a full month since this year's two-week desert music fest, but the unbelievably premature presale for Coachella 2013 tickets begins this morning. And as your faithful source for all things Coachella, we have the details on what you need to know about purchasing Advance Sale tickets to the festival that doesn't even have a lineup when they go on sale in about 30 minutes. THIS JUST IN... as promised, Coachella made the big mystery announcement they teased on Friday with an intentionally vague Tweet and Instagram prompting us all to wait with baited breath for some big news at 10am PST Monday morning. And, as we surmised, the big announcement revealed the Coachella 2013 dates (held over two weekends), and that ticket presale, or "Advance Sale" in their words, will begin this week. Keep reading for all the details and what all of this ridiculously premature information (dude, seriously, Coachella 2012 ended literally three weeks ago...) means for you. More»
Goldenvoice is really not giving us the time and space we all need to collect ourselves and recover in between Coachellas. Although it's only been three weeks since this year's two-weekend installment of the annual festival, it appears they want us to start thinking about next year's by way of a cryptic message they sent out into the universe a couple of hours ago. In keeping with their mysterious, vague and intentionally withholding fashion of dispensing information, the official Coachella Twitter account tweeted the following message with along with this Instagram: More»

We won't debate that when we first started putting together yesterday's Instagram roundup of the Stagecoach Festival, the all-country weekend that came after Coachella at the Empire Polo Club, it was mostly a joke, a way to get some cheap laughs at the expense of a bunch of rednecks. But we've got to admit, the crazy good times that these wacky guys and gals are having is kind of making us think fondly of the whole thing, despite having seen more cowboy hats and Confederate flags than your average left-leaning Jew is entirely comfortable with. Now if someone could just explain to us what a "Brad Paisley" is. More»
It must really save Goldenvoice a few bucks on the Ferris wheel deposit to string their weekends together like this, because while organizing, running and keeping the peace between hipsters, scenesters and bros at two straight weekends of Coachella would seem to be enough work for just about anyone, GV rallied to deliver a third straight music festival at the Empire Polo Club this weekend. Of course, this time around, at the all-country-music Stagecoach Festival, the place felt subtly, but unmistakably, different. Let's investigate. More»
If you're waking up this morning at a campground, hotel or rented party house (lucky you!) in the Greater Palm Springs Area, then you woke up just in time. And if you're still in the car, you should probably step on the gas. Why? Because in less than an hour from when this sentence is currently being typed, the festival gates at the Empire Polo Club will be thrown open, with the very first act of the weekend (DJ Méa, in the Sahara tent) starting at 11:20 a.m. sharp. But, well, you'd already know that if you'd been looking at the set list, wouldn't you? MORE>>
Good news for all you Dad types who stockpile mounds of batteries and get to the airport three hours early, "just in case": Goldenvoice understands your neurotic need to pre-plan. That's why, hot on the heels of releasing the set list and times this morning, they've now released the official Venue Map this afternoon, complete with the locations of all the stages, beer gardens, ATMs, and everything else you need to make sure that your weekend in the desert is as smooth and productive as possible. We have the full map after the jump, so start planning your bathroom breaks now! More»

In typical Goldenvoice fashion, with less than 61 hours until the festival grounds open for Coachella 2012, they threw us a bone and posted the show set times for each of the three days of Weekend 1, indicating who will be playing which stages when. As with every year before set times are released, I've been getting a daily dose of anxiety over potential conflicting shows of the artists I most want to see. God forbid I'd have to choose between Pulp and M83... I mean, no question Pulp would win but I've been listening to Hurry Up, We're Dreaming a lot recently in anticipation of that show so missing it would be très lame and sad. But you'll sleep better tonight knowing I've gotten some relief now that the weekend show schedule is out because I know you were starting to get concerned about me. More»
[Chuck D, Flava Flav] Hey you, bummed out that you couldn't snag tickets to Coachella this year? Maybe you have some expenses in your life that are a bit more pressing than $300 concert tickets? Well, if you were on Gladys Ave in Downtown L.A. this Sunday, you got to see one of the biggest acts in hip hop without putting a dime into Goldenvoice's pocket, as Public Enemy headlined the totally free Skid Row Street Festival, alongside Kurupt, Yo-Yo, Egyptian Lover and more.
