"I quite liked the speed and sound of their stuff, and Momsen can sing - she belts it out with a rough scratchy punk-rock voice that had a Courtney Love/Kim Carnes/Alannah Myles/Gwen Stefani/Hedwig feel. Abigail Lorick gave her first interview to us back in October. She, coincidentally, was our first as well:

We can smell a good thing from miles away, and lately, we’ve been sniffing out newcomer designer Abigail Lorick. Former Ford model and designer for T.S. Dixin, this southern belle is (mark our words) “the next big thing”.

The NEXT BIG THING is here. Since that interview, Abigail's line has grown from a couple of pieces to a well respected line. She is one of the hottest new designers this fall, both in real life, and on Television. Abigail's line is the "it" line on the "it" TV show Gossip Girl. Her first fashion show was a hit. The one on September 4th proves to be even bigger as the cast from the show is set to attend. Abigail breaks the mold as far as "hot fashion designers" go. She is genuine, pleasant and graceful; always embodying a true "Lorick Lady'.

While Gossip Girl co-stars Chace Crawford, Penn Badgley and Blake Lively were celebrating the opening of Bridgehampton Polo and Chace Crawford’s birthday in the Hamptons this past Saturday, Ed Westwick stayed behind to relax, sun and take in his first summer in NYC. I had been out east for most of the weekend, but had to skip Chace Crawford’s birthday to return to the city. From what I’ve heard, I missed a good party, but like I always say, there’ll always be another one.

Instead, I had something much more exciting on my calendar for Sunday morning, a photo shoot for a feature in Page Six Magazine’s Fall Fashion issue. Wait, it gets better. The shoot was an exclusive with Ed Westwick!

While, sadly, we weren't able to make it to the Whitney Art Party at Skylight last night, Essentially Emily did--and she had lots to say about the event. It seems that unlike yours truly, Emily doesn't get too starstruck, even in the presence of the Gossip Girls themselves.
