Following a fully-loaded week of pre-parties in anticipation of the 2013 Oscars, last night boasted some of the most lavish, star-studded events of the year for the final hurrah of awards season. Between the annual Governors Ball, Vanity Fair party and Elton John's Viewing party, all of Hollywood came out to celebrate the 85th Annual Academy Awards and we have the guest lists, photos and details from inside for you in this special Oscar Night edition of Last Night's Parties.
The top two headliners for the 2013 Governors Ball have been released, and it's the most impressive lineup to date. Kanye West and Kings of Leon top the bill, appearing alongside a third artist yet to be announced. Kanye will be performing his first solo show in NYC since 2008, and it'll be Kings of Leon's first show in the city since 2010. Governors Ball returned to New York again this weekend, though the music festival was held on Randall's Island-- and not Governors-- for the first time this year. The 2-day long extravaganza featured performances by Passion Pit, Kid Cudi, Duck Sauce, Fiona Apple, Beck, and others, and tons of New Yorkers came out to check out their favorite acts. New York City's annual Governors Ball Music Festival is set for this Saturday and Sunday on Randall's Island. Starting at noon, Saturday's lineup will include electronic and hip-hop artists Passion Pit, whose new album Gossamer is set to release on July 24th, Kid Cudi who gained major attention with his single "Pursuit of Happiness" and Duck Sauce whose song “Barbra Streisand” was featured on Glee. Also appearing will be Major Lazer the music project by electro-house DJ/Producer Diplo, and Santigold whose album “Master of My Make-Believe” was released in April. More»
