[More added 1/17--check the last slides] With bars open until 4am and politicos ready to party, there will be a lot going on to celebrate Obama's second Inauguration. Even if you missed out on the official ball tickets from the Presidential Inauguration Committee, there are still a lot of events you won't want to miss (in fact, most of the ones here will be better parties, period)! Balls come and go every 4 years, so pay attention to learn what's hot and what's not for 2013.
The Obamas and Bidens have been invited to basically all of the events listed here. They are only obligated to show up to the two official balls but just might pop in when you least expect them to...
We wrote earlier this year about recent GWU grad Emily Goldberg's romance with superstar DJ Avicii. Once we posted the piece, rumors swirled about how "on" it really was, and today a source told Guest of a Guest that the pair are actually close to celebrating a full year together.
The blonde beauty recently posted quite the travel itinerary to Facebook, which pretty much exactly lines up with Avicii's tour dates. Yesterday The Washington Post wrote up an article on internship placement companies in D.C. and the students that fork over thousands to join them. It's kind of disheartening to hear about all these out-of-towners who are paying their way into the District for a job that they aren't even getting paid for in the end. More»
Last night at the historic Lincoln Theater, 2009 Miss DC Jen Corey handed over her crown to the 2010 winner, GWU med student Stephanie Williams, who was first runner-up last year when Corey won. More»
