I'm not a fan of the holidays, but I do enjoy presents, even better when they're things I actually want. Despite most people I've talked to sharing this same sentiment, I've found the custom of gift-giving to be a challenge not just for givers, but also givees. Ask someone what they want and nine times out of 10 they'll say they don't know, myself included. Gift guides point us in the right direction from the perspective of the shopper with price and inherent message of the gift in mind.
