The former PM space has had a fair share of financial woes, and now it looks like the venue that was supposed to “save the Meatpacking District” is failing in its venture. The issues surfaced when former club king Unik (whose Bijoux finances rival that of Bernie Madoff investors) began promoting nights at the Hotel on Rivington rooftop. Last night, Josh Madden celebrated another year with friends Matt Levine, Erin Lucas, Christian Siriano and Tim Morehouse at the Hotel on Rivington penthouse. The birthday boy enjoyed manning the turntables, taking a break only to blow out the candles on his cake. He looked very much relaxed and at home on the big day, jumping around in flip flops and maybe even doing a fist pump or two. Brother Benji and his wifey Nicole were nowhere to be seen, but we imagine they had preggers/parent-y stuff to do, over on the other coast. More»

Friday night, Matt Levine took over the penthouse at the Hotel on Rivington for a party dubbed “The Hamptons in the Rivington.” It was a celebration of the anticipation of the Hamptons, Georgica Restaurant & Lounge, which Matt will be helping unveil this weekend. It was also a celebration of the fact that Matt has been given the responsibility of taking over the old Thor space at the hotel. We can’t wait to check it out for our own party with College Humor titled “Yacht Rock” (invite required), and we certainly can’t wait to check in on The Georgica this summer out east.

We haven’t been to the Hotel on Rivington in a long time, and decided it was time to check in on the place this weekend.  This Saturday, Evan Monster and The Happy Meal Gang were hosting “The Penthouse” party with DJ Spencer Project, Japanster, Misty Rabbit and special guests like Casey Spooner and Warren Fisher (Fisherspooner), Adam Dugas ( Citizens Brigade), Cindy Green (Libertine), Sophia Lamar, and Mike Furey(Dangerous Muse) among others.  All three levels were open including the rooftop terrace where the hot tub was steaming.

Tuesday night, the hotel on Rivington played host to an event in which AIRWALK fans had a chance to celebrate the limited edition return of the Desert Boot.  The Sound of Art was responsible for the affair to honor the legendary sneaker brand.  The Sound of Art brought its motley crew of artists and their talents to customize the AIRWALK sneaker boxes with their art.

Mario Cantone celebrated his pals Jim Mannino and Ricardo Rojas opening of the new Ricardo Rojas Salon at the Hotel on Rivington - the blow out party took place in the hotels VIP club with music by DJ Sky Nellor and signature Patron cocktails like the Ricardo Rojas-arita…guests including Supermodel Kylie Bax, brazilian goddess Camilla Dubay, and the 49′ers Bryant Johnson took a twirl on the clubs stripper pole!! Madness!
