When the Human Rights Campaign asked the public to help paint the town red to show support for marriage equality by changing their social media profile photos to the campaign's red equal sign, they probably didn't anticipate the myriad of interpretations it would inspire. As has probably been flooding your feeds, the social media push has spawned a vast array of takes on the now ubiquitous red square containing a whitish equal sign, some of which are pretty clever. A few even made us laugh. So, we've diligently trolled the deep, dark corners of the internet and meme underworld so you don't have to and present to you our picks for the 27 funniest or otherwise noteworthy versions of the red equality symbol.
...So obviously we haven't been too discrete with our political leanings throughout the 2012 presidential race. But the freedom to do that is one of the awesome things about living in this fine country and another reason why casting your ballot today is important, no matter which candidate and propositions you've backed. After you vote to help keep this country great (it is a privilege and a duty!), why not make the anxiety-ridden wait for the final results at least somewhat enjoyable with your friends? There are plenty of viewing parties and election festivities going down this evening and we're all going to want to celebrate this long race being over regardless of how it ends.
