The rising EDM prodigy who goes by Madeon worked the dynamics of the dance floor at Exchange LA's Inception on Saturday night. The young Frenchman swooped into the downtown venue like a seasoned pro, demonstrating his mastery of electronic-meets-house pop music to captivate the room with euphoric beats into the wee hours. Though they came for Madeon and his music, check out our photos to see how raver kids, house music fans and even couples on date night stayed to dance, dance, dance. More>>

Let's pretend for a second the Mayans were wrong and there will in fact be a tomorrow. Hopefully you will have participated in some form of 'end of the world' festivities since an ancient pre-Columbian culture will have you believe it's your last opportunity. You're going to need to top that apocalypse raging for planet Earth's biggest party night of the year. As usual, we are here to help you navigate your choices of some of the best New Year's Eve parties happening in L.A. to ring in 2013. Premium open bars, hot DJs, special guests: you name it, we've found it. They're all here in our Official New Year's Eve 2013 L.A. Party Guide (of 25+ parties!), so check them out while there's still time to decide, and you can thank us later when you've made your best NYE memories yet (or perhaps just vague recollections if that's how you get down).
We know how much you crazy kids love that electronic dance music, and we admit there's nothing quite like seeing one of the world's best DJs at the top of his game. Luckily for you, Avicii is playing a three day stand in Santa Monica starting on Friday. Even luckier, we're giving away a pair of tickets for Sunday's just-added third show! Read on to find out how. If your favorite raver seems to be running about a quart low on serotonin today, there's a perfectly good explanation: they were probably dancing it up all weekend in Las Vegas at EDC 2012. And while you may have heard the disappointing news that festival organizers Insomniac were forced to cut the show short on Saturday night due to a raging desert windstorm, don't feel too badly for the party rockers, because they picked up again with a vengeance on Sunday, closing out the festival with a solid exclamation point. We've sorted through thousands of photos to give you a chance to live, or re-live, the madness. More»
If you have tickets for Electric Daisy Carnival this weekend, you're probably already set. Your bags are packed. You've studied the set schedule. You've designed a homemade Deadmau5 head with a Pauly D blowout on top (and what a tragic shame that those two won't be on hand to see it). But before you start driving towards Vegas, do yourself a big favor and read up on our essential tips to surviving the weekend. Because just like everything else in Vegas, there's a right way and a wrong way to do EDC. Don't you want to do it the right way? More»
So who's going to Las Vegas this weekend to get down to some electronic dance music? Actually, let's rephrase that: if you want to get down to EDM this weekend, you'd better be going to Vegas, because every artist you've ever heard of (and many you'll be hearing about soon) are all playing the 16th annual Electric Daisy Carnival at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, starting tomorrow. And when we say "everyone," that's really not much of an exaggeration. Check out the just-released full set schedule and start your stage-hopping plans now! More»

We've been more than candid about our feelings regarding dubstep. It's not that we have a general distaste for the entire genre, we just feel that as with pretty much everything else in life, there is a time and a place for dubstep and it sure as hell is not in a Britney Spears song. But a pre- Electric Daisy Carnival show put on by Insomniac and headlined by dub pioneer Rusko at the Hollywood Palladium? That's precisely a dubstep-appropriate scenario we are down for along with the thousands of filthy beat-loving kids at Friday night's show. More»
