Yesterday, our LA editor, Emily Green took to the streets to ask friends what their favorite Apple product or feature was, following the death of visionary Steve Jobs. From iPads to apps, find out what her friends said. MORE>>>
I was in the office in the middle of fighting with Morgan when we learned of Steve Jobs' passing yesterday. We both paused in our feisty tracks at the news. Suddenly the issue we were both emotionally invested in receded into the background as Morgan glanced down at her iPhone. Amid everything that's going on in the world, his passing has hit a soft spot in our hearts. We've lost our generation's fearless innovator and face of the products we are hopelessly dependent on for both work and play. But rather than going through a list of his impossible achievements, I've decided to memorialize him by asking family, friends, strangers, and a few notables you may have heard of one question: What's your favorite Apple product/app/feature and why? Here's what I got back. More»

Last weekend, this dude I don't know turned to me and asked if my phone was an antique. I have a 3G BlackBerry Bold with an optical trackpad. Even though it was rude and I immediately lumped him in the "tool" category which is just below "douche" but above "loser", he had a point. Your new favorite gadget today in six months will probably seem as cutting-edge as a Motorola RAZR. Thus, the day nerds have been waiting for and owners of iPads have been living in denial about has finally arrived. Steve Jobs returned from medical leave to deliver the news today that the iPad 2 drops March 11 and presented Apple's newest must-have. More»
Are music festivals relevant to the iPod generation? Bonnaroo ended last night, and the 75,000 fans who flocked to it suggest that festivals still serve a purpose. There's a nifty new website out there that lets you compare your city's musical taste to scores of others around the world. And then be a total snob about the results. New York LOVES Radiohead, Lady Gaga and, shamefully, Coldplay. And Munich, well, Munich doesn't like New York's taste in music one bit! More»
The 45 Nano Case. A lot of us have been cutting back. Since the deepest dives into the wallet are for clothes, that means less shopping. This has been a heartbreaking and dramatic life adjustment. Fortuntately, we've found a nice little loop hole: buying "outfits" for your iPod totally doesn't count, and you can pick something out that will also compliment your own look, like this nano case. The Griffin iKaraoke for iPod. I found this on a site where the so-called 'gift guru' says, "Why go out to a karaoke bar and make a fool of yourself when you can make a fool of yourself at home?" How ridiculous! Enter Rachel Sklar to prove the point that WE LOVE making fools of ourselves - everywhere! I mean, with all the antics which inevitably occur in a sweet hour at the Talkhouse, let's not pretend we are ever exempt from participating in the evening's idiot parade. Now with the iKaraoke you will be ready to take it to the next level any time, anywhere. Just take a second to think about that...
