Earlier last year, the Huffington Post published on their website that The New School has the best dressed students. Since then, not very much has changed. While taking a stroll through the West Village campus, we ran into some innovative students and teachers who broke down their ensembles to us -- in summary, it's all about vintage and thrift stores for these liberal-arts fashionistas.

The MLK dedication happened (with a bang!), horses raced, Washingtonians jetted to NYC to party like rock stars, Meridian Ball was packed with well-fed ambassadors, and more happened in the district this weekend.

Photos by BILLY FARRELL for PMc] The fashion forward (and one proud "non-reader") flooded Hotel Griffou last night as J Brand and British designer Hussein Chalayan hosted a private dinner. Chalayan, who designed the denim company's Fall 2009 line, mingled with the crowd, among whom were model Chanel Iman, Ronson family matriarch Ann Dexter-Jones, Kanye West and muse/girlfriend/fuzzy-headed person Amber Rose.
