[All photos by JIMI CELESTE for PMc]. John Legend, pictured at left, was definitely the least awkward person at the Esquire Soho after party for Michael Moore’s Capitalism: A Love Story, which premiered earlier in the night at Lincoln Center. The luxury penthouse, with its $120 k pool table, hot tub, and $60k home theater, proved to be a hilarious juxtaposition to the theme of the movie, but Moore didn’t seem to mind. Perhaps he was just relieved at that point to be done with the photo portion of the evening, something he at which he is apparently less than adept. More»

[Tim Morehouse, Sam Hamadeh, Jason Rogers] Last night, Sam Hamadeh hosted an End of Summer Party at his loft in Gramercy for friends including our favorite Olympic fencers, Tim Morehouse and Jason Rogers as well as Mick Rock, Bobby Kennedy III, Kick Kennedy, Chris McGovern, Emma Snowdon-Jones, Bob Gilbane, Michael Morris, Lisa Raden, and Greg Calejo. Of note was the loft itself. More story and photos below… More»

Last night was the annual Paws for Style fashion event and we are more than excited that Keith Lissner’s dress, worn by NYC Prep’s Kelli Tomashoff, WON! Yay, Dorothy’s big moment in the sun! Also in attendance were Housewife of NYC Jill Zarin, Olympic fencers Jason Rogers and Tim Morehouse, and the perennial partying fashion designer Richie Rich. Held at M:2 Ultra Lounge, tickets went for $100 apiece, and all proceeds went to benefit The Humane Society. Stanley was supposed to go as the Guest of Honor, but after GofG’s very own Carson Griffith took him to the Hamptons this weekend — where he was hot on the scent of Gohan — he was simply too pooped to even make an appearance!

Saturday night I attended a fencing clinic at the Manhattan Fencing Center hosted by my friends, the silver medal Olympians Tim Morehouse, Jason Rogers and James Williams. I have a new respect for the Olympic athletes after experiencing just a couple hours of the sport. More»

[Miguelina Gambaccini, Peter Davis. All photos by NICK HUNT for PMc] Designer Cho Cheng opened his much anticipated design salon - CHOCHENG - in an elegant UES town house last night.  Fashionista hosts Gillian Hearst Simonds and Lucy Sykes Rellie greeted an intimate group of Cho Cheng friends and supporters, including Alexandra Lebenthal, Susan Shin, Bebe Neuwirth, stylist Amanda Ross, designer Miguelina Gambaccini, “Well Schooled” author Anisha Lakhani, Olympic medalist Jason Rogers, Peter Davis, Kristian Laliberte, and lifestyle maven Tracy Stern.

Our favorite GofG reporters, Olympic fencers Tim Morehouse and Jason Rogers are in the NY Post today! In the article titled “Date Knights-Forget Finance Types, Meet The New Mr. Right.” Tim and Jason pose with other eligible bachelors. According to the article, it’s time to “Take this opportunity- aka, a dip in the Dow-to kick the suit to the curb and date outside the box. Find a hot guy with a really cool job.” We couldn’t agree more… More»

Thursday found me at the Seeds of Peace Market held at Cipriani Wall Street. The Event was hosted by Ivanka Trump and featured a replica of a world market where various foods, drinks, and goods were displayed and sold. Seeds of Peace was founded in 1993 by journalist John Wallach, and is dedicated to empowering young leaders from regions of conflict with the leadership skills required to advance reconciliation and coexistence. New Year’s Eve was our latest endeavor into the NYCevents scene with a party of our own design, the aptly named, “Open ’09 with Olympians” at Elmo’s Lounge. With very little experience about what it takes to throw a cool party and sell tickets (why does everyone wait until the last minute to finalize NYE plans?!?!), we were in a bit over our heads, but in the end we learned a lot of valuable party planning lessons and it all came together with a packed house, a hip crowd and most importantly— we raised about $4000 dollars for the Right To Play charity!

Scott was thrilled to be asked to be one of the hosts for GMHC’s White Christmas Party/Benefit this past Saturday.  GMHC is the world’s oldest organization set up in the fight against AIDS.   It is not-for-profit, volunteer-supported and community-based.  The party was thrown by the host with the most Mr. Patrick Duffy.  It featured performances by Jasper James and  living legend, Debbie Harry-aka Blondie.  Dress code was white, which means of course, Debbie came in all black, in a see-through top with a red bra on!  I was accompanied by my favorite Olympian Tim Morehouse to the pre-press event at the Chinatown speakeasy Apotheke.

[Richie Rich stops by]

On Friday, Guest of a Guest’s resident Olympians Tim Morehouse and Jason Rogers performed a New York rarity: hosted a party for nothing more chance to see all their friends before the holidays steal them away for the winter. The evening proved to be an interesting scene, and in their words was “a nexus of the old and the new.” That is, old friends including athletic trainers Scott Weiss and Marc Bruck and Olympic Silver Medalist compatriots James Williams and Erinn Smart intermingled casually with new friends Richie Rich, Adrien Field, Nicole Sawyer and Geraldine Laiz (aka Little Richie).
