Billionaire Ronald Perelman hosted the jam packed musical charity night at his 57-acre estate "The Creeks," overlooking the Georgica Pond. Performances by Ben E. King, Bettye Lavette, Jon Bon Jovi, Jamie Foxx and Alicia Keys provide the insane line up that entertained the crowd until well after midnight, benefiting Harlem’s Apollo Theater. Well, it's already the first week in August (can you believe it!?) and you know what that means: SHARK WEEEEEEEK! Yes, that's right, the most wonderful time of the year is upon us once again and I couldn't be more excited. The Chicken Box is a Nantucket institution. It's shamelessly grimy and crowded, but the best word to describe it is amazing. Legendary cover bands like Thunder Roads and Joshua Tree shut down the night after you've made the rounds: Trap, Gazebo, Straight Wharf and once upon a time *tear*, Schooners (for a fishbowl, obvi).
