- Which of these thumping Monday dance parties are you just waking up from now? None? Well, use this handy list to do better next week [BlackBook]
OMFG look who made it on TMI Weekly! Adrien Field, Mary Rambin’s new gay boyfriend! You knew it was only a matter of time right? Okay, maybe you didn’t. For those of you that are lost here’s the gist:
Julia Allison is in love with cameras. Also, shes in love with her girlfriends (girl!). So, she started TMI weekly (get it: “Too Much Information“) with her very bffs Meghan Asha (the “tech” part to the trio), and Mary Rambin (the “fashion expert”). Except, as all trainwrecks soap operas tend to do, things got complicated. See there’s this site that documents their really interesting daily lives called NonSociety. More»
Guiding Light may have been canceled after approximately 100 years, but no worries, if you’re craving some soap-opera drama you can always count on the girls over at NonSociety to dish it up for free…and you don’t even have to skip work to catch the fun. Only weeks after the day the earth stood still (aka the departure of Mary Rambin), it looks like Julia “Big Tweets” Allison has already found her replacement. Krystal Kahler was Julia’s first roommate in NYC (cute). Word isn’t out yet on whether or not she will be taking over the “Style Blogger” role at NonSociety, or if she will join the traveling circus at all, but we can’t imagine her bosses over at Advent Capital Management would care right? Afterall the markets suck and watching them will only make you blue in the face. More»

Every species has it’s own way of making themselves look desirable. And, while peacocks’ extravagant display of self assertiveness is beautiful, the NYC socialite/microcelebrities may be our favorite of specimens to analyze. Has anyone ever stood in a mirror and mimicked some of the poses that socialites like Tinsley Mortimer and microcelebrities like Julia Allison bestow upon the shutterbugs? Try it, and then quickly write down all of the feelings that come to you. A few of them might be, I feel really weird and awkward,” “wouldn’t a casual pose be better?,” “who started this trend?,” but most importantly “what message exactly am I trying to convey with this pose?”

The Twittersphere is starting to push off some interesting (pernicious?) NonSociety rumors this afternoon. Did Meghan Asha, resident she-tech blogger, leave the fameball blogging platform? Let’s examine the evidence:

So what is Julia “big tweets” Allison tweeting…? More»

Here at GofG, we like to cover all ends of the social spectrum, whether your internet fameball of choice is Julia Allison or Cory Kennedy. At Cory Kennedy’s birthday party last week at Above Allen, the dress code was hardly Pink and Blue (more like black with a hint of plaid?) The Cobrasnake was, of course, there to document the festivities. More photos below…
