Fresh off their performance at Sunday's Hudson Block Party to the swaggering drunk delight of thousands and dismay of a few disgruntled neighbors, last night the sister trio from L.A. known as Haim performed at Palihouse in West Hollywood. The special evening music event sponsored by Kanon Vodka and Nudie Jeans featured a raw and impressive acoustic set that, for better or worse, inspired many in the audience with absolutely no musical ability to want to start a band. But if you scored an invite to the penthouse of the Roosevelt for Modular + Puma's Pre Grammy Party, let's hope you ditched whatever else you had going on. If not, you missed out on the chill vibes (a rarity of awards season events awards season in general) of the very intimate and stylish party thrown in honor of Cut Copy's Grammy nomination, plus a surprise guest DJ set by the group, which just so happens to be one of our favorite bands. Magazine partied at the Electric Room with Helena Christensen, Nur Khan, and Scott Lipps, Nuno and Muriel Brandolini host an “informal dinner” for Emanuele Della Valle and Lifestyle Mirror, Marc Jacobs threw an after show bash, Phillip Lim got rowdy at Red Egg with DJ Mia Moretti and Theophilus London, Chris Benz hung out at the The Standard East Village, and more. This past weekend, guests celebrated Lovecat Magazine's launch of their 4th issue, as well as The Kills 10th year anniversary at the Dream Downtown. The Rock 'n' Roll bash had DJ's Elle Dee, BP Fallon, David Katz, and DJ Cash to keep the crowd rowdy all night.
