The jewelry from designer and actor Waris Ahluwalia included little birds, gem droplets and claw cuffs.

Yesterday was day one of Fashion Week, and we spent it at the tents in Bryant Park chatting to Chadwick Bell, Vanessa Webster and Kate Schelter. We also got a model at Hayden-Harnett to break some rules for us, and learned that the tents can even be a good place to bring a date…albeit a very understanding one. Guests including Nicole Miller, Simon Doonan, Johnathan Adler, Michael Musto, Kim Hastreiter, Kate Schelter, Lady Fag, Fonzworth Bentley, and Joey Arias among others came out to the Soho location of LeSportsSac to toast Mr. Mickey in style. Last night, the city was a buzz with parties (St.Jude’s Gala, Cartier 100th, movie premieres and more), and eye candy galore.  However, the party of the week belongs to the Griffin opening night. Kate Hudson and Sting were just some of the big names to grace the newly opened club which we have had our eyes on all month.

On Thursday night I was able to combine all my passions into one event: skincare, fun social/good friends, Mac’n'Cheese, the East Village and Chloe Sevigny. Being the East Village’s newest resident (I moved here in February) I was happy to truck up a few blocks to the legenday Kiehl’s shop on 3rd Avenue to celebrate Kiehl’s history in the East Village (since 1851 if you wondered) and support the Doe Fund. Begin a beauty binger, it’s never hard to twist my arm to show to show up at a place like Kiehl’s. I was not at a loss for good company - This place turned out some really great celebs:

The cocktail party was hosted by designer Bruno Frisoni and Amanda Brooks, and party-goers were able to sample the goods while enjoying their beverages. With the Cannes Film Festival coming up next month, we’d advise stocking up on the collection before making hotel arrangements. Guests included Celerie Kemble, Kate Schelter, Samantha Boardman, Amy Astley, Emanuele della Valle, and Olya and Charles Thompson, among other stylish folk eager to view the design house’s new footwear.

Mike Meyers hosted Only Make Believe’s benefit at The Box.  Only Make Believe is a non-profit organization that creates and performs interactive theatre for children in hospitals and care facilities.  They believe that freeing a child’s imagination is a valuable part of the healing process.  What better place than the box to get in the “freeing of the imagination” spirit?
