Last night, Longchamp and Elle hosted a performance by pianist Eldar at the uptown store to benefit the Kipton Art Foundation. The charity namesake was there with Olivia Palermo, Kelly Cutrone, Anisha Lakhani, Kimberly Guilfoyle Villency, Anne Slowey, Chessy Wilson, Zev Eisenberg, Scott Buccheit, Robert Fowler, Whitney Port, Minnie Mortimer, Stephen Gaghan and Maggie Rizer; a group who will maintain very busy schedules over the next two weeks as tent time arrives in Bryant Park. The guests relaxed with the contemporary jazz tracks, a glimpse of the musician’s recently released “Virtue” album.

At the Roosevelt Hotel last night, the cyber world embraced Hollywood (and reality television, apparently) at the NYLON and MySpace Young Hollywood Issue Party. Hosted by Kat Dennings and Olivia Thirlby, it looked like everyone who couldn’t fly out to the East coast for the Costume Institute Gala was there (and everyone who wouldn’t have been invited anyway). Sophia Bush, Rumer Willis, Ryan Eggold, and Kellan Lutz were holding up the acting portion with Jack and Kelly Osbourne and Nicky Hilton were just some of the rich-kid sector. More»

Last night, we attended the New York preview for the 2009 Lifeball, Europe’s spectacular charity event for AIDS, which will take place in Vienna on May 14th. Event hosts Patricia Field, Allan Cumming and The Blonds (Phillipe and David) welcomed guests to the Red Bull Space to hear about all the big plans - Katy Perry will be performing and walking in The Blonds fashion show in front of 40,000 guests at Vienna’s City Hall. On Wednesday evening finalists for GQ’s Best New Menswear Designers award unveiled their Fall ‘09 collections for the first time to notable fashion experts: CFDA’s Steven Kolb, GQ’s Jim Nelson, and designer Thom Browne at Rockefeller Center. Guests included the who’s who of men’s fashion and friends: Chase Crawford, Kelly Cutrone, Jim Nelson, Brian Coats, Steven Kolb, Jim Moore, Damien Nunes, Tommy and Ally Hilfiger, and Johan Lindeberg.

Not since the release of the iPhone has a mobile device created such a buzz. Last night, PR Firm People’s Revolution hosted a dinner in celebration of Motorola’s newest creation, AURA, a cell phone ambitiously advertised as heralding “The Return To Artistry.”  The party brought out a host of hip young things, including Kelly Cutrone, Jeremy Scott, Mark Hunter (aka The Cobrasnake), Cory Kennedy, DJ AM, Katy Rodriguez, and Darren Romanelli.
