Perhaps you've heard of Wasted Wednesdays or Thirsty Thursdays, but the infamous Torrential Tuez is back. Last night, at Baddies under Kingswood, was the relaunch of the Tuesday night parties. The host, Samuel Murkofsky, was there to celebrate his birthday with all the other weeknight owls. More»

The party not-to-be-missed- last night (besides our own Yacht Rock, of course), was the re-launch of popular West Village bar Baddies, aka The Bar Under Kingswood.  This party was so hot that James Willis, owner of Southside, skipped out on his own party to attend. More»

New York Nightlife Dead?? I don't think so!  And, I spent the better half of my afternoon yesterday on a mission to prove the naysayers wrong.  I presented one of my favorites, Blue Ribbon, and now you all deserve to know where the coolest people (for lack of a better word) are hanging out after hours. So, I asked A Rising PR, A Nightlife Columnist, A G9 Connoisseur, A Dapper Business Man With a Penchant for Expensive Things and Beautiful Women,The REAL Izzy Gold, An Indie Worshiper of Rock, A Creative Jeweler,  A Couple of Trust Funders "In Transition", Two Party Starting DJ's, A Paid "Predictor of Trends", A Venture Capitalist, A Cool Cravat Cat, and A Hipster Magazine Editor where their favorite night spots were (excluding the known Beatrice Inn, The Box, 1Oak, Martignettis, Rose Bar, Gold Bar, The Eldridge, Bowery Hotel, etc.), and here is what they came up with:

Last Saturday, Aug. 23, we headed to Stone Meadow Farm in East Hampton (the place where Mariah Carey recently got married) to celebrate the 125th birthday of the American Red Cross.  On the way in, I was greeted by Rob Rich, and so, we finally meet in person!  I also walked in at the same time as my friend Heinz Haas, the tennis pro/teacher who has some BIG things coming up.  Russell Simmons, was there, (his jewelry line was one of the evening’s sponsors) as was George Gurley who was interviewing guests on thier favorite moments of the summer. Russell said it was the summer of:

"Barack Obama, as well as yoga, the environment, PETA, the Humane Society and fund-raisers (his July 19 Art for Life event raised $1.7 million)." [The Observer]

Edward Callaghan and John Wegorzewski made quite a photogenic pair at the Red Cross Benefit in East Hampton.

kingswoodWe were the first to introduce you to what has become one of our favorite restaurants in the city: Kingswood.  And, if you think their parties in the Hamptons are keeping them too busy for business here, think again.  It seems our friends hailing from down under are throwing THE party to be at underground. Urbandaddy reports today about the newest secret hotspot to reach the city: this time in the West Village:

The official company line is that it's only open for private events (as if that's ever stopped you before), but unofficially the basement has quietly been throwing one hell of a party for those who venture downstairs.
