Everyone loves a red carpet event. The opportunity to watch gorgeous people wear gorgeous things is intoxicating. But no red carpet is more important to true fashionphiles than the annual Met Ball in New York City. In support of the museum's famed costume department and rotating fashion exhibit, the gala is an opportunity for designers to stand in the spotlight alongside there "invited" starlets wearing their creations. After last year's James Franco high-as-a-kite fiasco, the Oscars decided to keep things especially PG this year with Billy Crystal,  Justin Bieber, Cirque du Soleil, and the theme of "At The Movies." But live TV spares no one, and even though the ceremony lagged (as per usual) and was severely disappointing in terms of Scorsese's Hugo sweeping the heap, there were some very awesome moments that need to be discussed.
