Insomniac returned to the Big Apple this weekend for the 2nd annual Electric Daisy Carnival in New York. Held at Citi Field for the first time, approximately 90,000 fans gathered on Friday and Saturday, to enjoy DJ performances, theatrical acts, art installations, carnival rides, and firework displays. With five stages and state-of-the-art sound and lighting production, DJs including Calvin Harris, Afrojack, Porter Robinson, Eric Prydz, La Roux, and ATB took over the Citi Field parking lot. For those of you who missed out on the adventure (or need a quick reminder), check out our Instagram round up of the 2013 EDC. More»

This weekend, Electric Daisy Carnival returns to New York for the second time, and the ever-growing festival has brought along more than a few heavyweights this time around. In addition to fan favorites like Porter Robinson, the festival has appealed to the increasingly diverse electronic audience by adding critical darlings like Maceo Plex and rising talents like Figgy. Click through our slideshow for the 7 artists we're most excited to see, with a song by each one you should hear to get you pumped up for the weekend!

We hope you’ve been resting up since Coachella, because Electric Daisy Carnival is just around the corner. With EDC hitting New York's Citi Field this Friday and Saturday, you’ve still got a little time left to plan the perfect look for the all-day, outdoor festivity. This is one festival where you can have a lot of fun with your look (think less fringe and cutoffs, more neon and tutus). Good news for all of you who didn't score tickets to either of the two back-to-back Coachella Weekends. As of Monday, festival producer Goldenvoice unveiled a jam-packed schedule of shows in the L.A. area and even stretching as far as San Diego, Ventura and Pioneertown featuring many of the Coachella 2013 artists in the days surrounding the desert music festival. Dubbed "Goldenvoice Presents April 2013," the two-week music program gives those opting out of Coachella the chance to see a good number of festival performers in more intimate venues before, in between, and after Coachella Weekends 1 and 2. Let's break down who you'll be able to catch at these local shows if you're not making the voyage to the desert next month or just want a second helping of some of this year's performers.

The heart is a fickle thing. One day you are madly in love and then the next day, your entire universe comes crumbling down on you because your significant other has chosen to end things. You could wallow in self pity, but let's face it, it's way too nice out to be crying in your apartment. Here are 8 songs to push you through the stages of your break-up. More»

Coachella-goers: by now, hopefully, you've got yourself together. You're dressed, ready, you've studied the setlist, maybe you're even at the gates already. But, tragic as it is to admit, you can't be everywhere at once, so you've still got some tough choices to make. Well don't worry, we cover Coachella year-round around these parts, and that means we've already prepared a day-by-day breakdown of our top picks for unmissable shows– some headliners and some more obscure. In a sense, the third and final day of Coachella is the trickiest for both the schedulers and the festival-goers themselves. With two straight days of desert heat, nonstop music, killer parties, and whatever, um, extracurricular activities you may be getting into under the belt, it may feel like a challenge to maintain a third full of day of music. But Goldenvoice isn't exactly going easy on us with the Day 3 lineup this year, having put together a collection of highly energetic, much anticipated acts that will challenge you to get your weight up for one last day and make the most of your time in the desert. Coco Sumner shows traces of her father Sting's offbeat charm and musical talents. She's been touring under the name I Blame Coco and has modeled for Burberry in a memorable shoot with Agyness Denn.
