Truly a scene of skin and sand. With the sun setting over palm trees, head towards Hollywood. Catch a screening of the classic Steve McQueen flick, Bullitt, hosted by Cinespia. Wait for the masses to leave and create jesudancing silhouettes.

A snack is a must, and why not hit a famed food truck…lines around the block and twitter updates to track one down.

What's better than a half-priced Herve Leger dress? How about free cocktails? Depends who you are asking. Regardless, Gilt Groupe hosted a cocktail party on the rooftop of the Thompson Hotel in LA last night, and the movers and the shakers of the fashion world, and everyone else who appreciates a good Gilt discount, came out to celebrate the online shopping site. In the parking lot of one Hamptons Beach, two women were more than surprised when a man decided to expose his man candy at them and then flee in a black pickup truck. [Photo via The Cobrasnake] I can't say I haven't thought of moving to L.A., the land of the Inn and Outs, and the Cobrasnake. I really want to be able to fit into a mosh pit like this, I even ordered my official Star Trek party shirt in the mail. But, alas, the shirt's come and is yet to be tried on. My skinny jeans and chuck's will only see the streets of Soho this weekend. Because, let's face it. I will never fit in in that photo.  Plus, I have enough wannabe hipsters to feast my hungry eyes on around here. They're nothing to write home about. All of this aside, this lad looks like he's enjoying himself. And after all, youth is meant to be enjoyed, in all it's sweaty, boozed up glory. And then forgotten. Right? Today's Page Six is reporting that Lydia Hearst, daughter of Patty Hearst, (and heir to William Randolph Hearst's fortune), has escaped death. Apparently Hearst told them that she "almost died" in her sleep at the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood last night when the old-fashioned gas oven in her suite was left on overnight. Hearst asked the hotel to turn the oven off after she saw "the misty, shaky air pour out." She's in L.A. promoting her "Lydia" bag for Puma. "Of course, I'll stay here again," Hearst said. "But can you imagine if I was found dead, naked in bed? It would have been me and John Belushi who died here!"

Wait a minute (head scratch), isn't CO2, the gas that kills you both odorless and colorless? Furthermore, since when have socialites become so completely helpless that they can't turn off a stove on their own?!
