It's impossible, try as we might, not to view Mike D's amazing Transmission L.A. audio/visual art festival at The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA through the prism of last week's tragic loss of Beastie Boy Adam "MCA" Yauch. But, while it's not our place to presume to know MCA's thoughts, we're pretty sure he would have been happy that even as the world was mourning his loss, Transmission was continuing to thrill music-loving audiences with big-name performances like Thursday's show from British garage pioneer DJ Harvey and LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy.
