The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) hosted an event on the roof of 230 5th Avenue to raise funds to help ensure fair, accurate and inclusive representation of Gay people in media...and SO... they hired caricature artists, psychics, balloon makers, face painters and go-go waiters.  Ironic?  Maybe, but probably just tragically counter-productive. Mayor Michael BloombergLast night at the Hammerstein Ballroom, the LGBT's community center (The Center) held The Center Dinner which featured cocktails, dinner and lots of fun. Christine C. Quinn was invited to speak, Ugly Betty's Michael Urie hosted, Matt Alber was a special musical guest, Richard Burns was honored and the very special guest who attended was none other that Mayor Michael Bloomberg. The Center Dinner is created not only for an entertaining evening but also for raising money for this valuable community center.
