Last night Jen Gatien, Peter Gatien's daughter, screened her film "Limelight" and partied at Westway after, Haunch of Venison celebrated their new location, Beyonce showed off her new fragrance at Dream Downtown, Avenue Magazine held an art and antiques showcase, and so much more! Last night's parties were all about what's new and what's old!

Westway was a fitting place to hold an afterparty full of ex-80s/90s club kids and their posses after the much anticipated premiere of "Limelight" the movie. "Limelight" (directed by Billy Corben of "Cocaine Cowboys") tracks the rise and fall of Peter Gatien and his legendary nightclubs, offering a rare look into the now-closed chapter in the history of NYC Nightlife. Peter Gatien is arguably heralded as the King of New York City nightlife by most in the business. But his reign of the 80's and 90's underground club scene (with ownership of Limelight, Tunnel, Palladium, and Club USA) came crumbling apart after Mayor Guiliani cracked down with the cops, and pegged Gatien as the face of the downfall of the nightlife counterculture. Now, his daughter, successful filmmaker Jen Gatien, delves into the shift that happened in New York City nightlife during Giuliani's mayor-ship with her documentary Limelight which premieres tonight at Sunshine Cinemas.
