A memorial service was held in London at Saint Paul's Cathedral this morning to honor Lee Alexander McQueen, nearly six months after his suicide. Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, Stella McCartney, Daphne Guinness, and Sarah Jessica Parker all attended, as did Anna Wintour, who spoke at the service. More»

Not everyone was willing to head over to London Fashion Week after the exhausting events in our own home city. Luckily, Burberry understands this, and decided to broadcast their Autumn Winter 2010/11 Womenswear show to the Skylight Studio in New York City, so that Hamish Bowles, Amy Astley, Becka Diamond, Dani Stahl, Carlos Quiarte, and Joanna Coles could enjoy the collection without having to step on a plane. New York's most fashionable citizens jumped the pond for last night's Elle Style Awards in London. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Agyness Deyn, Alexa Chung, Jared Leto, Claire Danes, Naomi Campbell and Olivia Palermo, who should all be exhausted from the festivities of NYFW, nonetheless mustered up the energy to celebrate Fashion's brightest stars at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London. Shocking news comes this morning on the first day of New York Fashion Week: Alexander McQueen, British fashion icon, has committed suicide. His death comes three years after his close friend, Isabella Blow killed herself. The death comes one week before London Fashion Week, and two before he was set to unveil his new collection in Paris. [All photos by JP Pullos for PMc]. Swarovski heiress Nadja Swarovski threw an intimate dinner party (well, intimate aside from the PMc photographer...) for London based designer Marios Schwab last night at the Morgans Hotel. The amassed fashion-forward crowd included Jen Brill, Lily Aldridge, and Lauren Santo Domingo. Schwab is a frequent collaborator with the Austrian crystal jewelers, and most recently partnered with them for a Winter 2009 collection at London Fashion Week. More»

The House of Holland Spring 2010 collection caused a frenzy this week with photographers losing their marbles over catching shots of guests Agyness Deyn, Alexa Chung, and many more. The backstage action was just as hectic while models prepared to walk the runway with teased up-dos drenched in Henry Holland's vibrant and very lacy collection... More»

Lets all collectively thank Jeremy Scott for taking us back to the town of Bedrock in Hanna-Barbera-Land shall we? The celebrity favorite and fashionably-brave designer made his London Fashion Week debut with his caveman-friendly Spring 2010 collection showing off his Flinstones-inspired designs. Models strutted down the runway in clothes only fit for Pebbles and Bamm Bamm at their stylish best... More»

They've all moved to New York for one reason or another, but Emma Watson, Agyness Deyn, and Alexa Chung are all home for London Fashion Week. Agyness and Alexa we can understand, but Emma? The freshman at Brown University claims to want an "American college experience", but we're pretty sure she's the only Brown student who flew to London for the Burberry Show. Never to miss a fashion event, Mary-Kate Olsen also flew over for the festivities. It definitely takes a tireless set of girls to keep up with Anna! More»

This is why Anna Wintour is superhuman: while most New Yorkers are just now recovering from NY Fashion Week exhaustion, Anna Wintour is STILL GOING! Despite probably being bone-tired from the past two weeks, AND jet-lagged, she's has to rally for the folks across the pond at  London Fashion Week . Our (haute-couture) hats are off to you, Anna. Relieved that the Fashion Week Insanity that took over NYC last week is finally over? Well, skip over this post. Because Fashion Week is just beginning for our friends over in London, and some of our favorite New York characters (like Olivia Palermo, left) headed across the pond for round two of fashion insanity. How do they get through not one but TWO fashion weeks back to back?! Thankfully, we didn't actually have to book our own tickets to keep up on all of London Fashion Week gossip. We have  Derek Blaseberg's tweets to do that for us! More photos, including the Matthew Williamson show, below... More»

Britt AboutalebWhile most people in the fashion industry are eager for any form of publicity they can scrounge up, this certainly does not ring true for Britt Aboutaleb, the associate editor for Fashionista.com, the style website with the cult-like following. When a picture of the 24 year-old popped up on Altamira only months ago, the responses, while all positive, were ones of "Oh, that's what she looks like!". And her PMc count remains at a low 5 pictures, despite the countless events she attends every week for her high profile job. So why does the adorable young editor shroud herself in an air of mystery? It's certainly not due to a lack of style. Nor a lack of shyness - Fashionista.com is known for their "Life With" feature, an interview section of their site that takes an in-depth look at professionals and individuals involved in the fashion industry, with each lengthy one-on-one usually conducted by Britt. So why the hide-out? More»
