After dozens of cocktail parties, runway shows, fashion installations and pretty much all forms of entertainment you could dream of, L.A. Fashion Week has finally come to a close, but not before going out with one final bang, of course. The festivities culminated Saturday night at Sunset Gower Studios for the first ever LA Fashion Weekend Awards, a night featuring live music, an awards presentation and a closing party for one last hurrah in the name of LAFW. As opposed to say, New York Fashion Week which showcases collections from the top designers and fashion houses around the world, it's no secret L.A. Fashion Week is nowhere in the same league, and has instead become a celebration of our local fashion culture. Last night, Fashion Group International Los Angeles got a head-start on the LAFW festivities with the Meet The Designer & The Muse event where some of the town's most renowned designers, fashion figures and their muses stepped out for the cause.
