When I was younger, it seemed like the radio station mega-concert was the coolest thing on the planet. Nowadays you can't throw a bottle of $1,500 champagne in a New York nightclub without hitting a Coachella, EDC, or Bonnaroo, but back in the day, festivals like that only happened once in a blue moon (who remembers Woodstock '94?). So instead, we went to one-day, local radio sponsored concerts in sports stadiums with vaguely nonsensical names like the "River Rave". The planetary spectacle that won't occur again until 2117, won't be enough to significantly block the sun's light (like the awe-inspiring total solar eclipse which sweeps a shadow across the Earth), but you don't want to miss the exquisite opportunity to view one of the rarest planetary alignments happening tonight known at the Transit of Venus.
