Last night I joined some of New York’s best and brightest for The High Line Benefit held at Pier 60. The invite read festive cocktail, which I guess for most New York men meant wearing the suit you wore to work. After perusing my almost all black wardrobe, I settled on a red shirt hoping it would up my festive quota. I was meeting my friends, Christian Simonds and his always beautiful wife Gillian Hearst Simonds, as a guest of theirs. More»

Last night, “The Last International Playboy” premiered at AMC Empire 25, followed by a Bordello after party at Hudson Terrace. The independent film featured many a scantily clad model enabling a love-sick playboy author’s depression as he mopes, drinks and parties away evening after lost evening in NYC. These long-legged beauties also graced the glamorous red carpet. A sparkling Lydia Hearst (sans bicycle) led the pack, her recent city bus movie tease ads having finally given our lazy, taxi-loving selves a reason to embrace public transportation. More»
One of our favorite socialites, Lydia Hearst took her baby blue bicycle out for a spin this weekend. What’s with the balloons? No she wasn’t just getting back from the street fairs, Lydia was smack in the middle of a photo shoot, presumably for her new movie, “The Last International Playboy” set to open in theaters on June 12th. There has been a ton of hype about the movie (have you spotted a “Lydia-bus” yet?), mainly due to the fact that the opening scene has Hearst, 24, stripping, and getting cozy with a guy and a girl, played by Australian supermodel Nicole Trunfio, in the laundry room during a model-saturated soiree in a NYC apartment.

Starting this week, New Yorkers are in for a special treat – larger-than-life bus advertisements of a risqué Lydia Hearst are hitting the streets to promote the heiress’ latest film, The Last International Playboy, which has its theatrical debut in New York on June 12 and stars Jason Behr and Krysten Ritter. There wasn’t one frown in sight for Thursday night’s 2009 Operation Smile Event at Cipriani on Wall Street. Event chairs, committee members, and supporters in attendance included Olivia Palermo, Scott Buccheit, Lydia Hearst, singers Ciara and Ryan Leslie, Adrienne Bailon, Donald Trump Jr., John Sailey, and Sabine Singh. [Ali Larder. Photos via BILLY FARRELL for PMc and Getty Images]. Films are in the air right now, and last night’s screening of “Obsessed,” at the School of Visual Arts Theater, was no exception. The Cinema Society and MCM hosted Ali Larter, Olivia Palermo, Johannes Huebl, Lydia Hearst, Maggie Rizer, Kelly Bensimon, Tinsley Mortimer, Helen Schifter, Nigel Barker, Rachel Roy, Beyonce, Kim Kardashian, Rocco DiSpirito, Russell Simmons, Christian Siriano, Christine Lahti, Jerry O’Connell, Chris Benz and Narciso Rodriguez; on hand to check out Ms. Larter’s performance, where she gets bat shit crazy on Beyonce. It wasn’t Tribeca, but it was quite the to-do.

Last night I attended the Conde Nast Traveler Hot List party. The event was held at the new mega restaurant Pranna in midtown. I was joined by my partners in crime Lydia Hearst, Ryan Brown and Naeem Delbridge. We arrived, did the step and repeat. Well, Lydia did the step and repeat while we tried to make her laugh and goof up during the endless interviews and some of the inane questions. “Do you think birds are a threat to humanity?” I kid you not.
