The trend of models being something other than wealthy, mute clothes hangers is established enough to have spawned a PR agency aimed squarely at the fashion-turned-entertainer crowd. And there’s no one better to launch it than soon-to-be Mr. Marc Jacobs, Lorenzo Martone. More»
Like Narcissus who fell in love with his reflection in a pool of water, Marc Jacobs gazes adoringly at his portrait, shot and styled by Francois Nars of Nars Cosmetics. We don’t blame him–he does look pretty fierce in that picture. Also, check out Daphne Guinness‘ portrait behind him. Go here for our complete coverage of the NARS Cosmetics 15×15 event. Last night, Marc Jacobs and Daphne Guinness hosted a party in honor of NARS Cosmetic’s 15th anniversary, which coincides with the publication of Francois Nars’ newest book, “15 x 15″, a collection of photographs taken by the make-up mogul himself. Jacobs and Guinness both appear in the book, along with Olivier Theyskens and Amanda Lepore, who both attended the event. More»

Last night, the hottest room in the city played host to its hottest guests. The Boom Boom Room was booming last night. It was (yet another) celebration of the DVD release of VALENTINO: The Last Emperor, but let’s be honest, it was really just a chance to dance next to Madonna. Hosted by Giancarlo Giammetti, Director Matthew Tyrnauer, and Jesus Luz, it was the party to see and be seen at. Read who stopped by below… More»

[Front row at Marc Jacobs. Photo by BILLY FARRELL for PMc] With what seems like hundreds of shows it’s hard to tell who the big players in town are. And it’s true - it does change a lot on a day to day basis. But to make sure you get the best coverage of the biggest names, we’re going to help you out a bit - because we don’t want you to be the last to know when everyone is gabbing around the water cooler about who took who’s front row seat, now do we?… More»

[All photos by PATRICK MCMULLAN for PMc]. Last night, one of the most anticipated afterparties of Fashion Week took over the Hiro Ballroom. Marc Jacobs (after showing up with a slew of body guards) brought Lady Gaga to celebrate another eclectic and successful show, demonstrating that the designer who has delivered everything from kilts to cameltoe is showing no signs of slowing down. WWD live tweeted the evening, which included Julia Restoin Roitfeld, Patrick McMullan, Janet Jackson, Lindsay Lohan, Lily Donaldson, Mickey Boardman, Lorenzo Martone, Lauren Santo Domingo and Perez Hilton, right after he spoke with Rachelle about his adventures in show hopping (check out the video, soon).
