The City of Angels is blowing up with anything but: party people abound, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Steve Aoki and 90210’s Tristan Wilds hit up the Dim Mak concert, Lindsay Lohan brought her corset clad bod to the Nu Pop Movement at Kitson, Stephanie Pratt and Lo Bosworth opened new lingerie store Undrest, as did the star of The Hills New York counterpart, Whitney Port. That’s just the beginning. Superheroes are walking the streets (and occasionally, socking people), and super star celebs are working the art scene. More»
The Cobrasnake is really loving his frequent flyer miles. He bounced around Hong Kong for a bit, snapping great crowd shots. Bustle typifies many cities in Asia, sometimes overwhelming but more energetic, like when you go to a wedding somewhere lame and step off the plane back in New York (home!). It’s a good feeling. After this HK stop he had a little UK time, where he went to the Juicy Couture store opening in London, with Leigh Lezark, Derek Blasberg, Alexa Chung, Margherita Missoni and Juicy founder (someone to blame for those unfortunate jumpsuits), Gela Nash-Taylor. For those of us who couldn’t make it to Paris Fashion Week, those who could wanted to torture us a little more by throwing a lavish bash entitled “New York, New York” at the Le Regine, in honor of our great city, and made sure to party into the wee hours of the night. Hosted by Paul Sevigny, fashion’s favorite Derek Blasberg, Archetype Showroom’s Steven Rojas, the Misshapes, and Tommy Saleh, things got a little rowdy as you can see from the pictures. More photos and story below… More»
Kicking off Fashion Week Milan, AmfAR held an auction and show at La Permanente, which houses the city’s fine art. Chaired by Janet Jackson, the event raised a $1.1 million gift. Kanye West, Bianca Brandolini d’Adda, Donatella Versace, Chanel Iman, Rachel Bilson, Eva Herzigova, Poppy Delevinge, Margherita Missoni and Renzo Rosso were just some from an elite guest list gracing the red carpet. The affair also marked the birthday of attendee Dita Von Teese, who celebrated another year by performing “Le Bain Noir” for the group. More»
[All photos by NEIL RASMUS and PATRICK McMULLAN for PMc]. Patrick McMullan called it the biggest opening since Studio 54, and no wonder: Madonna, Courtney Love, Jude Law, Jon Bon Jovi, Lindsay Lohan, Calvin Klein and Rachel Zoe are just a few…a few!…of the big names from the music, fashion, and entertainment industries that gathered at the Standard Hotel Saturday night for the much anticipated opening of the Boom Boom Room. [All photos by JIMI CELESTE for PMc]. Yesterday, we were unsure of the whereabouts of Daphne Guinness. Well, apparently your Fragrance launch is skippable but your movie premiere is not! The style icon hosted a private screening of her short film, Mnenosyne, last night at the Hudson Hotel Library. On-hand to celebrate were Hamish Bowles, Margherita Missoni, Genevieve Jones and Derek Blasberg, who were no doubt only too happy to attend a non-fashion related party before the onslaught begins…More photos below. [Picture via Du Jour] If you, like I, were as utterly infatuated with the article in Vanity Fair’s June issue entitled ‘Fortunte’s Children’, to the degree where I wanted to plaster it on my walls like an adolescent teen might with a Jonas Brothers spread, than I’m sure you caught sight of the long haired, wide eyed, Josephine de la Baume. Sprinkled amongst the Santo Domingos, Missonis, and royalty, the daughter of the Baron and Baronne de la Baume was featured with her younger brother, Alexandre. While the 24 year-old actress hasn’t made major headway yet on the big screen for herself, she’s already a big name in the jet-set crowd. This, with her noteworthy style, her new well-known British boyfriend, and her family name, and the stir she’s starting to create is only bound to get bigger. More»

Haute jeweler Bvlgari celebrated its 125th anniversary in Rome, yesterday. Chloe Sevigny, Jessica Alba, Margherita Missoni, Ginnifer Goodwin, Jason Lewis, Selma Blair, Fern Mallis, the Bvlgari Family and Patricia Field strolled along the Palazzo delle Esposizioni to the Castel Sant’Angelo, backdrops as stunning as the jewelry for which Bvlgari is known and to which it can attribute its longevity. A dinner opened “Between History and Eternity,” a retrospective on the great founding family and the history they share with the magical, emblematic city. Not only did Bvlgari put on a breathtakingly picturesque affair, but the company is also using its staying power to give back.

Today’s Fame Game matchup is between two very fashionable daughters of even more fashionable parents. Bee Shaffer may call Anna Wintour “mom” but she is below Miss Missoni in rank. She looked ravishing in her super hero themed dress l she donned at the MET Gala, but besides that she has been going to a lot less evens and has only half of Margherita’s news mentions.

New York is the best city to celebrate All Hallow’s Eve. Whether you hit up the West Village Parade, join Richie and the 1Oak crew at Scores, hit up the $200 Cipriani’s party, or get the coveted invite to Sacco’s…Have a great one, but be safe and remember to check for razors in those candy bars!
