Ah, to be in The Cobrasnake's entourage. Your primary responsibility is simply to do fun things that he can photograph, so as long as you don't plan on doing lame things, like having a job or reading or anything, you're so in! In their latest exploits, our favorite party kids tackle the beloved trope of the Childrens' Birthday Party. Everybody knows kids parties are way more fun than adults, who have "birthday dinners," where 10 or more people spend an hour and a half fighting over how to split a check. Hey numbnuts, we don't care whether you got to try any of the lettuce cups or not, just kick in an extra five dollars FOR THE LOVE OF EVERYTHING HOLY. Anyway, children's parties were clearly superior, and dor Cobra Snake pal Juju Sorelli's birthday, there was a cake, face-painting, some kids-style treats, a Cat in a Hat, and lots of grown-up party favors (vodka and cigarettes, duh). Check it out:
There are a lot of different ways to react when someone tries to take your picture in the middle of a party. You can do the sucked-in cheek "kissy face" that girls often do, which has never made anyone look sexy in the history of photography, but maybe you'll be the first! You could flip off the camera, which is cool and original and rebellious, except no. And then there's the inexplicably popular "Surprise Party" look, where you respond with outright shock that someone would dare to take your picture. Of course, within that look, there are a multitude of sub-looks, as these Cobra Snake photos from Absolut Swim at the Mondrian demonstrate. [photos by Steven Meiers via]
If you've ever been to a religious ceremony, motivational speech, or a really shitty intervention, you've probably heard some variation of the question, "what would you do if you knew today was your last day to live?" In the context of these awful speeches, the answer is invariably that you would, or should, spend that last night praying to Jesus/Yahweh/Allah/Krishna/Xenu, or that you should run around giving tearful hugs to everyone you've ever said hello to. With all due respect to those who think these are good ideas, these are both terrible ideas. As The Cobra Snake and I agree, if you only have one night left to live, you'd better throw a really kick-ass party. More»

As William Shakespeare so poignantly wrote, "it's so hard to say goodbye to yesterday." Or was that Boyz II Men? Well, whichever bard was responsible, you can be sure those words were on Mark "The Cobrasnake" Hunter's mind as his Hollywood & Highland pop-up shop rode off into the sunset with one last pizza party. "Jersey Shore" came back on the air last night, returning our famous Italian-Americans back to the safety of their natural habitat, duck phone and all. And if you were one of the millions who let your Netflix disc of The 400 Blows go unwatched yet again so you could follow the adventures of these beauty school dropouts, we'll assume your favorite character is the same as ours: DJ Pauly D.
