Over the weekend, The New York Botanical Garden held its 2011 Winter Wonderland Ball with guests like Tinsley Mortimer and Charlotte Ronson, Opening Ceremony and Candy Magazine held a party hosted by Terry Richardson and Chloe Sevigny, Z100 rocked out at Jingle Ball, Santas flooded the streets of Manhattan, Malik So Chic had a dirty thirty bash and so much more! Last night's parties were all about Santa!
With the 4th of July just around the corner, have you given any thought to how you'll be working The Red, White and Blue into your ensemble? Why not sport the very symbol of our great nation's independence somewhere on your body? We've already gone over the virtues of flag pants and how nothing screams USA pride like when it's coming directly from your crotch. More»
In writing about the 2011 Tony Awards, and their questionable fashion choices yesterday, I messed up and inadvertently included a red carpet picture from last year. I really wanted to make a joke about a specific dress, and also I didn't watch one second of the Tony Awards live. I have been rightfully taken to task in the comments, but I don't deal well with criticism. So maybe it's time to get out of town for a while. Maybe I should go to Paris, where our hometown hero Mark "The Cobrasnake" Hunter has been getting up to his usual mischief. More»
If you've ever been to a religious ceremony, motivational speech, or a really shitty intervention, you've probably heard some variation of the question, "what would you do if you knew today was your last day to live?" In the context of these awful speeches, the answer is invariably that you would, or should, spend that last night praying to Jesus/Yahweh/Allah/Krishna/Xenu, or that you should run around giving tearful hugs to everyone you've ever said hello to. With all due respect to those who think these are good ideas, these are both terrible ideas. As The Cobra Snake and I agree, if you only have one night left to live, you'd better throw a really kick-ass party. More»
[photo via] Sometimes our love for the USA is too much to only show on the Fourth Of July or that annual America-themed frat party. We want to wear the red, white, and blue with pride on other days too. But there's only one item in your wardrobe that can prove your dedication to your country: flag pants, because to show it where it matters most, it needs to be in your crotch. More»
Fashion Week is always about more than just clothes. It's about beautiful people and champagne and gift bags and parties. Mostly parties. What were the best? More»
PETA and friends made a more fashion-friendly appearance at Fashion Week in Stella McCartney's boutique, with not a drop of paint in sight, while the opening of street artist RETNA's Hallelujah World Tour rolled out the concrete carpet for an innovative new art installation. Check out all the action from these parties here! More»

Mark "The Cobrasnake" Hunter's Endless Birthday finally came to a close Wednesday night with a grand finale to the four-day binge at The Cobra Shop. Good thing, too, because the non-stop celebrations since Sunday night's Cannonball rager have left us and a bunch of FannyPack-wearing, mustachioed hipsters exhausted. More»
The Cobrasnake and his super sexy blonde muse danced on stage to Steve Aoki Saturday at the Ultra Music Festival. As if the streets of downtown Miami weren't packed enough with scantily dressed women and highlighter-colored clothing, the group brought an added mix of "hipster cheer" to the festival. Art Dealers Vladimir Restoin-Roitfeld and Andy Valmorbida's after-party for their presentation of works by artist Richard Hambleton at New York City restaurant, Indochine, was so hot it caused a party-goer to faint Tuesday night, and luckily there was an Olsen twin on hand to help. No word on why the female guest actually collapsed (too much rump-shaking on the dance floor perhaps?) but according to guests, Mary-Kate Olsen assisted in reviving her before getting back to partying with a bevy of celebrities and New York City socialites also in attendance...
