British recording artist and songwriter M.I.A.'s new venture will be designing labels for Beck's Beer. Although M.I.A. has been notorious for criticizing capitalism in her music, apparently she couldn't resist the opportunity to express herself via beer labels. More»

Last night, the fashion event of the year, otherwise known as the annual Costume Institute Gala, had everything from a live performance by Bruno Mars at Metropolitan Museum of Art's Temple of Dendur, to a bevy of fashionable hosts such as Carey Mulligan, Anna Wintour, and Miuccia Prada, to a new exhibition titled "Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations," and, of course, a guest list filled to the brim with fashion industry notables, models, and celebrities. See what went on inside the party last night with these photos courtesy of Vogue. More»

We have said it before and we will say it again, winter is over. It's time to celebrate the Vernal Equinox... at Equinox. The weather is heating up and summer will be upon us in little more than two months. Yes, the gym is about as appealing as an all day marathon of Everybody Loves Raymond (I hate that show), but sadly it's necessary. Check out these songs to pump you up enough to want to burn some calories. More»
Looking at at Azealia Banks, she reminiscent of a 90's R&B/Pop singer. Then when you actually listen to her, she's like the girl our mother's warned us about. Her songs are mostly a bunch of fast rapping sexual references, swear words, and killer instrumentals and beats, and it's a trifecta of sheer genius. It's like you know you shouldn't really listen to her, because she's not really saying anything, but you can't help it; you need more. In a boy's club of dirty mouthed rappers, this girl is changing the game.
M.I.A. has been blowing our minds since bursting onto the scene with her 2005 debut , Kala. Since then she has put out a steady stream of good music and better sound bytes as an impassioned champion of issues in the Middle East and elsewhere. She has fueded with journalists for misrepresenting her in the press and handed out some scathing remarks regarding other female artists. Bottom line, she has never been one to hold her tongue. More»
What do M.I.A.'s bad ass image, Jay-Z's Carnegie Hall performance, Drake's "Marvin's Room" lawsuit, Calvin Harris' best songwriter of the year award, and Shakira's Bollywood debuthave in common? They're all featured in this week's music news round up! Check it out for more... More»
Last night the New York Giants dominated over the New England Patriots for the title of Super Bowl Champions. Some actually took the game seriously, chugging light beers and sporadically screaming at the television, while others (and by others we mean a good majority of those "one day a year" sports fans) were just waiting for the yearly tradition of watching the train wreck of a half time show. Ever since the Janet Jackson "wardrobe malfunction" 8 years ago, the NFL has kept a tight lock down on its acts, using headliners for a more PG crowd like Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, and possibly the worst half time show in history, The Black Eyed Peas. But this year was Madonna's year -- a chance to thrust herself back in the spotlight and prove she's got what it takes, even at age 53. From tightrope walkers, to M.I.A.'s unruliness, to Madonna's crotch and beyond, here's what I was really thinking about during the half time show... More»
