Union Square Lounge opened on Monday, bringing some much needed nightlife action to the land of Greenmarket and NYU dorm-dom. The spot, a project from Lotus alum Michael Gogel, is a comfortable, open room of dark couches you can sink into against the warmth of fireplaces built into the wall. More»

Union Square used to be a nexus of bleeding edge nightlife. 33 Union Sq. West housed the second incarnation of Andy Warhol’s Factory. His favorite LSD-saturated haunt, Max’s Kansas City, was a few blocks north. And the late Palladium (now an NYU dorm, natch) was a stone’s throw away on 14th St. Now, a team of nightlife vets hopes to revive the magic with the Union Square Lounge. More»

Tuesday night, nightlife impresario Adam Spoont celebrated the big 2-6 with a blow out bash. Friends and major NY hospitality players showed up for the all night party and to dance the night away, starting with a pre-game dinner at Cabanas at the Maritime Hotel hosted by Spoont’s best friend and hospitality extraordinaire Michael Gogel. The weather was impeccable, and as the Grey Goose flowed, Alan Philips, Josh Shames, and Track Entertainment celebrated the launch of Deluxe Experience (DeluxeXP.com) with Upper Echelon Shoes.

And this weekend, while you may have been tossing Frisbees in Central Park, the rooftop of Hudson Terrace was packed on Sunday, with sangria, mojitos, and champagne flowing for over 150 guests, who were treated to a buffet breakfast and dancing until 8 PM. The party, that we told you about last week is the hottest party to be at on Sunday afternoons and J.T.’s latest photos confirm this…

Spring is here and there’s a new, exclusive brunch party taking over the Hudson Terrace Rooftop. Not to conflict with other popular Saturday brunch parties, the “Sunset & The Sky” Rooftop Brunch Party happens between 2-8pm on Sundays. Started by Fabien Desgroux, Roberto Buchelli, Michael Gogel, and Victor Medina-San Andres, the first one last Sunday was a huge success, especially if your barometer for success has to do with beautiful women, unending mimosas, and legal Marlboro lights.

Members of APrivateClub gathered at the Library at the Hudson Hotel last night at the Hudson Hotel to celebrate the launch of “American Hotel Stories” published by Assouline. Partygoers sipped on Absolut cocktails and mingled while others played pool and flipped through the new hotel bible. A Private Club’s popularity seems to be growing with the ever-changing Facebook layouts and exclusive features the site gives its selected members.
