Downtown Greenwich has lost a movie theater, but gained an Apple Store. There’s been some mixed press about Greenwich lately as the town’s hedge funds have taken a hit, but Apple is optimistic that local pockets are still deep enough to support the company in its quest for world domination. More»

In what was no doubt the biggest assembly of Fashion A Listers since Fashion Week, The Fashion Group International’s “Night Of Stars” proved to be just that. Michael Kors, Fern Mallis, Dita von Teese, Iman, Mary J.Blige, James Franco, Tommy Hilfiger, Jon Bon Jovi, Oscar De La Renta, Grace Coddington, Aerin Lauder, Emmy Rossum, Hamish Bowles, Vera Wang and Andre Leon Talley all gathered Cipriani Wall Street to honor oustanding individuals in the world of Fashion. Yesterday, Celeste Ford and Fredric Leopold hosted a book party for “Resort Fashion,” a sartorial history study by clothing historian Caroline Reynolds Milbank with foreword by Vanity Fair special correspondent Amy Fine Collins. Supporters including Somers Farkas gathered in the library of a private home to glimpse the new work, which tranports around the world for delicious designs from Chanel and Schiaparelli to Michael Kors and Rodarte. Michael Kors models mingled among Donald Trump, his wife Melania, Campion Platt, Nathalie Fernandez De La Valle, Andrea Stark and R. Couri Hay; in anticipation of the annual gala in Florida supporting the American Heart Association. Last night marked the first ever New York presentation of the infamous play Legends! for a one night only staged reading at Town Hall benefiting Friends In Deed. The cast of seven consisted of famed writer Fran Lebowitz; Tony-nominated and drag queen legend Charles Busch; Dashaun Young, Todd DuBail, writer, fashionista, and lip-synching pro John Epperson (a.k.a. Lypsinka); Mad Men actor Bryan Batt, and actress Lisa Estridge who stepped in at the last minute for Whoopi Goldberg who was supposedly sick with the flu.
