There have been some major changes out East over the cold wintry months, which leaves us wondering: which New York City players will win the hearts of the Hamptons' crowd this summer? Will it be reigning champ of Montauk, Surf Lodge? Or round 2 for Navy Beach? Maybe Crow's Nest? Or another NYC newcomer possibly!? Take a look at what to expect from our Hamptons summer Tag Teams...

via hamptons.guestofaguest.com The Hamptons have undergone some major nightlife changes over the past couple of months, and we're giving you the scoop on what's new and what's back for 2011! Check out our summer Tag Teams... MORE>>>
The Social Network was tops at the box office this weekend, raking in over $22 million. But Sean Parker, a subject in the "Facebook movie," couldn't live up to the party boy image Justin Timberlake brought to the screen after he was denied entry at Provocateur on Saturday night. More»
Provocateur's Mike Satsky wants the throngs itching to get into his club to know it ain't gonna happen. Responding to an Eater post on the city's toughest doors, he said "you miscalculated our 'chance of civilian entry' to be 18%...it is between .05 and .1% depending on the time of night and the number of 9s or 10s you are with." Who is making the cut? More»
A tipster tells us Lionel "KyKy" Conille, co-owner of the deceased Merkato 55 and new-ish Provocateur illegally purchased over $300,000 worth of booze--how bootleggy!--and owes the IRS taxes on over $2 million in state wages paid in 2008. And all of it just in time for the dreaded April 15th. More»
The Scope art fairs have always featured galleries from all ends of the earth, but at this year's Scope Hamptons, there will be less of them. The Scopers have finally realized that people are more inclined to look closely (and consider purchasing) when there's less to look at. To someone like me, for whom the Louvre remains a huge and glossy swirl, the downsizing comes as a relief, and an impetus to go check it out. More»
Well it isn't exactly by the shore, rather situated off of the heavily-trafficed Montauk Highway (route 27), approximately 2 miles from the nearest beach...but we'll forgive the loose interpretation, and chaulk it up to Mike Satsky and Brian Gefner's want of assonance in the name.
In any event Social Life Magazine's party at Stereo By the Shore this weekend was definitely kickin' with a surprise performance from yours truly Lily Allen.

Looks like it’s going to be a sizzling hot summer….
We haven’t completley sussed out the situation yet, and it can be expected to continue to develop over the next couple of weeks, however, it appears that some very interesting nightclub players have teamed up to compete for the polo-jetset Hamptons crowd this summer. These types of match-ups have yet to be seen out in the East End or Manhattan for that matter. The winner of course will get it, and the losers will be left shoving bottles down the throats of the B & T/Staten Island/Queens crowd per usual.
(Back sand area of Pink Elephant. FYI, if you can get a table inside, it's much better, outside can be cold, and not nearly as much energy or action)

We have yet to confirm if these alliances are the result of internecine feuds, or more of a mergers and acquisitions type of situation, but because of their relative close proximity in location, we can only hope that it doesn’t create a “nightclub cannibalism” whereby the crowds are simply watered down at all places. So let it be a zero-sum game, where winner takes all. Mem day weekend often sets the tone for the rest of the summer, which is why so many of these guys are calling and emailing clients to come out...

Where in the world is Jamie Mulholland? That time of year is FINALLY here… we want to know where the invites for starroom and Stereo are? We will be there every step of the way reporting on who comes out the “winner” of the summer…who has the best crowd both status-wise and looks-wise, where the best decor, music, and food is as well. We are looking forward to the seeing the best of the best at their worst and our official criteria for judging is being refined so stay posted…ruff.
