Even though born and bred Upper East Sider Ariel Moses swore she would never watch the inane Bravo show NYC Prep, I somehow talked the Horace Mann and Columbia educated New Yorker into submitting herself to the incessant nonsense that is the Gossip Girl knock-off. Afterall, being a transplant, I could never fully understand what these kids were talking about (besides that they sounded like absolute idiots… am I allowed to say that about 16 year olds?). And what better way for Ariel to express her true feelings about the "real"ity show than on Twitter!

Yesterday, the Mina Gallery hosted Sam Bassett and Bobby Grossman, photographers whose works memorialize the constantly evolving New York cult of cool. Capturing cultural icons from Donald Trump to Jean Michel Basquiat, the two visual artists brought a veritable city scrapbook to Cooper Square. Last night, 25 Park (our new favorite shopping site) helped host an event at the new Cooper Square event space MINA showcasing the words of art by Victor Demarchelier, Alexandra Richards, Matthew Rowean, & Alexander Noe. NYC's out and about-ers joined anthropologist turned fashion designer, Nina Clemente, as she threw a party Thursday night to celebrate the opening of MINA, legendary stylist and currator of the Albright Fashion Library, Irene Albright's second location named after her daughter Marina Albright. Guests popped into the Cooper Square retail space to check out the collection and sip bubbly with the ladies who's debut gallery includes pieces by Marc Jacobs, Chloe, Lanvin, Dior, D & G, and tons more. Guests included Rosario Dawson, Douglas Friedman, Kristian Laliberte, Devorah Rose, and Timo Weiland.
