From the folks who brought you Bonnaroo and Outside Lands, The Great Googa Mooga Festival has arrived celebrating the Brooklyn spirit in all its indie, foodie, and musical glory. You have probably heard about GGMF and thought "just another festival". Think again. Not only will you do the standard; listening to carefully selected musical acts, drinking from the top breweries' taps, eating from the finest restaurants, and all that, but you will be dining, drinking, and dancing inside imaginatively themed sub-parties among community that has come to seize the day. In today's giveaway you will get a pair of tickets to Saturday and Sunday. Included in this monumental giveaway are two passes to The Kick Back Lounge and a pair of $10 food vouchers. More»

With 5 boroughs and countless neighborhoods, it's easy to get overwhelmed and fall into the tourist traps of the city from Times Square to the Statue of Liberty. When you want to see the New York that inspired Jay Z and Frank Sinatra to sing, you need an insider's advice. Look no further. We've put together a collection of the places and spaces of a New Yorker's New York!

If you still haven't been to Prune or Sarabeth's, and you don't have your own, local, favorite brunch spot in the city, the upcoming holiday weekend is the perfect excuse for a decadent midday meal. The popular downtown Carribean hotspot, Miss Lily's, celebrated the one-year anniversary of Miss Lily's Variety Shop this week with the release of their VP Records album, aptly named Miss Lily's Family Style. The reggae series is a compilation of hits selected by Miss Lily's family of DJs, including main resident DJ of Radio Lily, Max Glazer, who executive produced the first installment with the restaurant's founding partner Paul Salmon. We got a chance to chat with the impressive DJ about the release, his passion for dancehall music, and being part of such an amazing family at Miss Lily's. Click through for a little island education from Max Glazer. More»
